Giving Back

Something I love about photography is the opportunity to connect with a particular situation and then attempt to tell part of its story within the context of a frame. As photographers, often our first and most natural response to experiencing a particular emotion is to grab our camera and create art. Not only is capturing an image therapeutic and beneficial to my soul, but the gift of photography is something that we can so easily share with others. Sharing through photography is a perfect way to make an impact on our communities. Here are some of the organizations that I have been working with.

The American Cancer Society Drive For Life Golf Classic brings together business and professional leaders from Central Ohio and beyond for a spectacular day of golf, networking and entertainment in support of the American Cancer Society's mission to create a world with less cancer and more birthday.

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. This organization is very near and dear to my heart and I am not only proud but honored to be named the Official Photographer for the Columbus March of Dimes

Signature Chefs supports the fight to end premature birth, the most significant health threat to moms and babies everywhere. Leading culinary talent in each city creates a collection of signature dishes in support of the March of Dimes.

When you March for Babies you stand with thousands of people across the country who share your commitment to be there for every family - those who had first-hand hardships, those celebrating their health and those just trying to start their families. You raise funds and awareness to help us research to find solutions and advocate for policies that prioritize mom and baby health.

Nurse of the Year events recognize and honor distinguished nurses for their outstanding contributions. Events take place in select communities across the country with a reception, banquet and awards presentation.  ** In my family there are quite a few nurses so being able to photograph this event means the world.**

Colony Cats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary mission is to address cat overpopulation in central Ohio through public awareness and spay/neuter efforts. Specialized help for feral, stray and abandoned cats is a core element of our programs. *I am a big animal lover and believe that you should always "Adopt not Shop," and that every animal deserves a loving home. I was given the opportunity to update the "head shots" of the adorable cats to better help their chance of being adopted!"

Along with these amazing charities, I have donated several portrait sessions over the years to local Silent Auctions.

Do you have a charity even coming up and need it photographed? Please send me a message because I would love the opportunity to help!
